While the sequel of the "Jurassic World" is yet to conquer the cinemas in 2018, fans will be excited to know that director Colin Trevorrow has been dishing out tidbits on what they could expect of the blockbuster Universal Studios movie.

In an interview with Wired UK, Trevorrow offered exclusive hints on the story's plot. It has been earlier announced that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising their roles in the sequel. As for whether or not the action would still take place on the fictional Isla Nublar and its huge theme park, it appears that the answer is no.

"It will not be just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island. That will get old real fast. I feel like the idea that this is not always going to be limited to theme parks," said Trevorrow.

The director also let slip their idea to showcase the hybrid dinosaurs in a different light, or more specifically, as weapons of war. He said that there would be "applications for this science" in the movie. Just like in the past when people discovered how nuclear power could be "weaponized," it looked like the same would happen with the dinosaurs.

If that is the case, it looks like what the International Business Times reported about Dr. Henry Wu's goal on the sequel was on point. The website hypothesized that BD Wong's character would be demonstrating his expertise to create crossbreed dinos purely for war.

The possibility of "an open source" for dinosaur creation was also discussed. As Trevorrow said, Dr. Wu himself mentioned in the first "Jurassic World" that the time would come when others begin making crossbreeds of their own.

Meanwhile, "Jurassic World 2" will be released in the United Kingdom two weeks ahead of its U.S. premiere. According to Inquisitr, the movie will hit the UK cinemas on June 7, 2018, while the Americans will have to wait until June 22 to see Chris Pratt's hardcore dino tamer and trainer Owen Grady.
