Universal Pictures recently released a short clip from the upcoming "Jurassic World" film, and while most people enjoyed the banter between the two leads played by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, "Avengers" director Joss Whedon publicly a tweet that he did not.

It started with Whedon replying to The Mary Sue's tweet stating, "too busy fanning ourselves to talk more about Chris Pratt in this #JurassicWorld clip."

Whedon responded with "...and I'm too busy wishing this clip wasn't 70's era sexist. She's a stiff, he's a life-force - really? Still?" 

The clip in question portrays Claire (Howard) visiting Owen (Pratt) to bring the latter in as a consultant regarding the park's new bio-engineered creation, the Indominus Rex. During the clip, it is revealed that the two went on a date before but this was never repeated because of their polar opposite views. 

At the end of the clip, Owen tells Claire that the dinosaurs "aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet. They're thinking, 'I gotta eat, I gotta hunt, I gotta [alludes to sex].' You can relate to at least one of those things, right?" 

The clip cannot be judged since it is taken out of context, and fans of the franchise will be able to judge the scene for themselves when they get to see the full movie in theaters. 

Whedon has been quite vocal about sexism and the portrayal of women in the past. During an interview with Digital Spy, the director mentioned how most people think female superheroes wouldn't work in cinema because of the two failed attempts in the past, alluding to "Catwoman" and "Elektra." 

Whedon's next project, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," is coming out on May 1 and it features two lead females, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabth Olsen).

"Jurassic World" is hitting theaters on June 12.
