The first footage of the upcoming installment in the popular Jurassic Park franchise, "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," has been unveiled by executive producer and screenwriter Colin Trevorrow.

The teaser was posted by Trevorrow on his Twitter account which stated, "From our Jurassic family to yours." The short clip showed protagonist Owen, played by Chris Pratt, petting a baby raptor.

In the previous film, "Jurassic World," which was written and directed by Trevorrow, Pratt played the brave raptor handler in the titular theme park. Despite the tragedy that befell the park in the film, it looks like Owen is back to caring for the dangerous reptiles again.

The sequel will also feature the return of Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire, the theme park's busy operations manager. However, despite Pratt and Howard being the protagonists of the film, the biggest star of the sequel will arguably be Jeff Goldblum, the star of the original "Jurassic Park" film in 1993 and the sequel, "The Lost World: Jurassic Park." He played the role of the mathematician Ian Malcolm, who used his quick thinking and tactics to survive against the deadly dinosaur rampages in both films.

Earlier this year, it was announced the Goldblum, who was not present in the last two Jurassic Park movies, has signed on to appear in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," portraying his original character.

Goldblum's addition to the new film will boost the already very popular franchise. It will also give the movie a lot of opportunities to add some interesting interplay between the old and new characters. The new movie is already using one of Goldblum's quotes from the 90s films, "Life finds a way," on its posters.

In 2015, "Jurassic World" earned a whopping $1.67 billion across the globe, enough to make it the fourth highest-grossing film ever. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" is set to be released on June 22.
