'Just Cause 3' cheats available via 3rd-party tool

Avalanche Studios

Avalanche Studios' "Just Cause 3" has finally launched for the PS4, Xbox One and PC but unlike a majority of video games, there are no hardcoded cheats that players can simply tap or type in to unlock infinite health and ammo. However, there is now a third party app that can be used to achieve similar results.

According to a report from iDigital Times, there is a program known as Cheat Engine that can be used to tweak the codes of several games. The aforementioned software is now compatible with "Just Cause 3" and can now be used to access several game-breaking cheats.

It is further explained that Cheat Engine simply alters the mechanics of the game's coding by altering some of the variables that determine health, ammo, and others. By using this app, players can remove fall damage, give unlimited ammo, unlock all weapons and others.

Using Cheat Engine is also not that difficult as the report points out there is a tutorial for anyone new to it. There are also videos on YouTube of players utilizing the aforementioned app to completely alter the game to their advantage. There is one downside to using Cheat Engine however: it only works for PC players.

As of the moment, this is only available for the PC, which means there is still no other means of cheating for players on the PS4 and Xbox One. It is stated, however. that cheat codes for the console release might be discovered in the weeks or months to follow and that it is unlikely such cheats will be discovered in the days following a game's release.

However, there are a few Easter Eggs in the game. A report from IGN showcases how players can find a small referrence to the "Dark Souls" franchise. Players must simply head to coordinates "N 40 41.221, E 5 35.019," where they will find a bonfire with a rifle similarly designed to the bonfires in the "Dark Souls" games.
