Aquaman (Jason Momoa) is staying positive this time despite the negative reception of the recent "Justice League" movie, as Momoa has given his reaction towards the criticisms of the said movie.

"I try to stay the f**k away from what people say. Some of my friends said, 'Justice League isn't doing well' and it kind of bummed me out. But I didn't want to look it up. I don't want to look up the bad and the negativity. I don't think that's useful; it doesn't help," said Momoa during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The 38-year-old actor has expressed optimism amidst the critical panning of the "Justice League" since it is now being considered one of the worst superhero movies of the year. That said, like "Batman v Superman," "Justice League" seems to be more favored by the audience, receiving an audience verdict aggregate of 84 percent positive, while having only 41 percent positive critic aggregate score in the website Rotten Tomatoes.

The Aquaman actor has also stated that he will still be watching the movie again with his family, and he will not let the negative critic feedback faze him. Momoa even went as far as to proclaim that he will watch the movie with a regular crowd instead of at a premiere.

Momoa has also attributed some of the less than desirable traits of the movie to the deleted scenes since a lot of them were allegedly cut out of the final theatrical version, leaving out much of the critical expository portions, such as why Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman was so grumpy. One major background scene for Aquaman which included Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe was also cut since the movie was not about Aquaman, and a lot of his backstory would also be done in his own standalone film anyway.

This was perhaps one of the most crucial mistakes "Justice League" had, which left a lot of people not being able to relate with or understand the new characters since they were not given much exposition. This, however, did not stop Momoa from loving his first superhero movie.
