The upcoming DC movie, which has been titled "The Justice League Part One," reportedly includes all the founding superheroes of the Justice League. This would include Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). However, one character that has not yet been cast and who is also part of the seven members who founded the Justice League is Green Lantern.

Since Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder have not yet stated details regarding the superhero, it can be speculated that Green Lantern will not be a part of the superhero team that  would make up the Justice League in the upcoming film. The remainder of the crew are also expected to make a cameo appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," but Green Lantern's name has not yet been disinterred.

While there are three Green Lanterns who are part of protecting the Earth-side of the Galaxy (Hal Jordan, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner), there is another rumor that Zack Snyder is intending to cast an older Hal Jordan, one whose age falls between 45 and 55. However, the personality of the character is expected to be much darker compared to the original character, who is portrayed as proud, cocky and arrogant.

The "Green Lantern" movie was released on the July 16, 2011 and featured Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. Made on a budget of approximately $200 million, the film became the center of criticism, scoring a rating of just 26 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and only garnered $19 million more than what it cost to make it.

Since the movie turned out to be an egregious experience, it can also be speculated that Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder are taking time to vet a number of actors before they find one that can assume the mantle of Hal Jordan. If everything goes according to plan, "The Justice League Part One" is expected to hit theatres on Sept. 17, 2017.
