Fans have been anticipating the premiere of "Justice League," which hits theaters in November. Apart from the news of early screenings of the movie happening lately, the most recent one has everyone talking about a super-fast superhero.

Last week, Warner Bros. dropped some footage from its DC Comics film slate at the National Association of Theater Owners Fall Summit to promote both "Justice League" and "Aquaman." DC Films head Geoff Johns was present to introduce these films, and he made some interesting remarks regarding those test screenings for "Justice League."

According to Chris Sylvia of Regal Films on Twitter, Johns said that Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/Flash is the fan-favorite out of the Justice League. This might not be too surprising as The Flash was planned to bring some light-heartedness to the usually dark and serious tone in the film. Joss Whedon definitely added to that upon taking over to make sure that the speedster is the fan favorite league member.

Meanwhile, J.K. Simmons, who plays Commissioner James Gordon in the movie, recently shared his thoughts on Warner Bros. take on superheroes as well as his time filming "Justice League." Speaking to Red Carpet News, Simmons expressed excitement to see the movie in its finished form as well as to be a part of the DC Universe, which he described as a "little grittier."

The actor went on to say that there is a fair amount of levity in this incarnation of Ben Affleck, who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman. That seems pretty evident especially in the clips where Simmons is featured in the trailers, with Aquaman and Batman exchanging witty comments as well as the Flash suddenly commenting how rude it is for people to disappear on him when he turns his back.

It goes without mentioning that the first three films of the DC Extended Universe were often criticized for being too dark for superhero movies. The tone shifted when "Wonder Woman" was released earlier this year, bringing a lighter tone to the film slate despite featuring the horrors of war.

It seems like "Justice League" will definitely continue to be less dark than before, as laid out by "Wonder Woman." Zack Snyder has also said that he always intended for the big team-up movie to birth hope out of the darkness.

"Justice League" will premiere on Nov. 17.
