DC fans will have something to look forward to after Geoff Johns was put in charge of the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros. This may give a fun and lighter "Justice League: Part One." It also seems that the movie will settle for six superheroes and two villains.

Geoff Johns, chief content officer of DC Comics, posted a laughing image of Superman (Henry Cavil) on Facebook and fans took it as a reflection of what may be in store for DC: happy, upbeat, fun, light and entertaining, Cosmic Book News reported.

Johns is also an executive producer for the "Justice League: Part One" movie, together with Ben Affleck, who expressed enthusiasm about the film.

Of Johns and the project, Affleck said, "I would read anything by Geoff Johns. [expletive] genius, I love him. I love DC, I'm really excited about where it's going, and I couldn't be more honored and thrilled to be on board and part of this DC universe," as reported by Screen Rant.

For the meantime, its seems that the dust has settled and fans can expect six preliminary Justice League members, namely Superman, Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Green Lantern is still being discussed and may be introduced in the second part of the movie.

Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) will be back. Mera (Amber Heard), the wife of Aquaman will be in the movie, as well as Commissioner Gordon (J.K. Simmons). William Dafoe was also cast a month ago and according to Birth Movies Death, he may be an Atlantean.

With regards to the villains, Cheatsheet mentioned that they will be Darkseid and Steppenwolf. However, it is still not clear how big the roles each villain will play in the upcoming movie.

"Justice League: Part One" will hit the big screen in November next year.
