Superman fans will have to steel themselves for bad news, as the man of steel (Henry Cavill) may really be officially dead and not joining the "Justice League."

It seems Clark Kent will not be able to come back to join his super friends. This has been somewhat confirmed by the actors of The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Fisher and Miller, during a panel for the upcoming superhero crossover movie, have stated that while they were hoping that Superman could join the League, he may not be able to.

It can be recalled that Superman officially died on-screen back in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" after sacrificing his life to defeat Doomsday.

"Superman, who we hope is in this one, too," said Miller before being interrupted by Fisher saying "Superman is dead." Miller then answered him back with "Henry looks great in dream sequences and as a corpse," before laughing with the rest of the cast.

The line may have been a joke, but it could also indicate that Superman will be back in a dream sequence or flashback. It is also worth noting that Cavill was also part of the said interview panel and even praised his co-stars despite the lack official announcements that he would be a regular in the movie.

Cavill stated that watching the team dynamics of the members of the "Justice League," even without him, is one of his most favorite segments of the movie. He then went on to commend his co-stars in their portrayals of their respective roles, adding that they "really nailed it," since superheroes are just reflections of the human psyche, with Superman being no exception.

Cavill has also admitted in the panel that he sometimes visits the set even though he was not in the movie because he appreciated the team dynamics happening before him. 

A final source of hope was also sparked by a tweet from the DC Universe official Twitter account. It said: "hope never died with the #superman hashtag. This may be an indication that Superman's part in the upcoming "Justice League" film adaptation is just being kept secret for the sake of surprise.

Right now, the only sure way to find out is by watching the movie, which is set to premiere on Nov. 17.
