Pop icon Justin Bieber surprised the crowds at the Coachella music festival on April 15. He wasn't part of the main line-up but he roused up the crowds when he led them to worship God as he sang a few Christian songs in an impromptu mini-concert.

The young star visited a Coachella event that Churchome hosted and he performed the songs "Reckless Love" (Cory Asbury) and "Tremble" (Mosaic MSC), as well as few other Christian hits. Videos of Bieber singing the songs alongside a man playing the acoustic guitar immediately went viral on social media sites like Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

A week before Coachella, Bieber also thrilled fans when he posted an Instagram Story where he sang "Reckless Love" in a capella. He has also been publicly professing his Christian faith on his social media, while the paparazzi regularly photographs him attending church services in Los Angeles. Reports have claimed that the "Purpose" singer is preparing to put out a Christian-themed album for his next project.

The Sun newspaper recently quoted an unnamed insider as saying that Bieber was exploring songs that are more reflective of his Christian faith.

The 24-year-old star is a regular at Hillsong Church, an Australian founded church that has became world famous through its popular praise music ministry.

"He has always been religious but the last two years have seen him grow closer to the Hillsong Church and it has changed his entire life," the source told the newspaper. "He has a totally different outlook now."

It's been quite a transition for the pop star from the days when he was making headlines for all the wrong reasons, including run-ins with neighbors and reports of assault and careless driving that found him on the wrong side of the law.

The turning point came back in 2015 when he was reportedly baptized in an NBA player's bathtub and since that time he has commented publicly on his desire to be a follower of Jesus and see others believe in Him too.
