Justin Bieber recently revealed that he and Selena Gomez are still friendly despite the fact that they have broken up. In a new interview with Us Magazine, the "Sorry" singer talked about the lessons that he learned from their four-year relationship, and he also confirmed that he and the singer-actress still stay in touch.

"She's my homey. We're friends," the 21-year-old said to the magazine. "We don't talk everyday. But every now and then, she hits my phone up."

Bieber adds that he "hits her phone up too."

"It's not just her...It goes both ways," he explained.

Of their on-again, off-again relationship, Bieber said that he thinks that they didn't really know what they were doing when they were still together.

"[We were] young and we kinda just invested too much of ourselves into each other," he said.

The "What Do You Mean" hitmaker revealed that he learned a lot from the relationship, specifically how to treat women and knowing what a woman wants and needs.

"I think a woman needs security. I think a woman needs to feel that security and know that nothing else matters. I learned that with her," he said.

Earlier this week, the singer told Ellen DeGeneres that there might be a possibility that he and Gomez could get back together, but thinks that for now, they're still trying to figure things out as they go on their separate journeys.

Right now, Bieber says that he is single and that he is not ready to date at the moment, as he is "just trying to focus on my music and stuff right now."

Bieber's new album, "Purpose" has just been released, and he is about to go on a tour across the U.S. and Canada, which will start on March 9, 2016 at the KeyArena at Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington and will end on July 18 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
