After publicly apologizing for his behavior and reaffirming his faith in God as one of the keys to his change of heart, Justin Bieber wants his fans to know that he's not perfect and that they should not worship him or any other celebrity.

He reiterated that he does not have the higher power to solve their problems and it is more likely that he will disappoint them if they see him as such.

In an interview with the Mirror, the pop star admitted that he made his fair share of mistakes that got him in more trouble than he imagined but he has found his purpose anew and wants to start afresh.

"Yeah. It's scary. But I want them to know that I'm not going to be able to solve their problems... I'm not that higher power. I'll never be. I'm not perfect. I've made so many mistakes. I just want to get to a place where... I just want people to know humans aren't meant to be worshipped. We're just not. So when a human is being worshipped, this is dangerous. 'Cause it does nothing but give you pride," he said.

After years of being in the headlines for acting up, and getting in trouble with drunk driving, illegal drag racing, and partying, the singer - who recently won a Grammy and made history on the Billboard Charts for having the most number of records on the top 100 at a single time - admitted that he had problems with dealing with people's expectations and now he just wants to appreciate and love.

"I was trying to love people but I wasn't loving myself. So I wasn't able to love people the way I thought I was. Yeah, I've learned a lot about what and what not to share, how to share it. What I want people to see. That's important," he said.

For his part, Jonathan Shalit, CEO of ROAR Global, said Bieber should be credited for owning up to his mistakes. He also said that the artist has matured because of his music.

"Ultimately it is the music. His music evolved, he teamed up with new people, and he has grown up and matured. A lot of teen stars haven't progressed to being adult stars and Justin should be applauded for what he has done. He is out of a bad patch. It was clearly people around him guiding him in the right way, but also he wanted to change. You only change as a person if you really want too," he said.
