Despite taking a break from the entertainment business, American hip hop artist and producer Kanye West has recently shown that he indeed has a softer side, since he rapped for one of his fans who is terminally ill due to cancer. West was kind enough to take some time off from his busy schedule to grant the wish of his dying fan.

As reported by TMZ, the fan was reported to be a pre-teen girl, who happens to be a huge fan of the artist. The patient's parents tried their hardest to get a hold of West, and once he heard about the girl's predicament, he did not hesitate to have a little chat with her over FaceTime. After the brief chat, the girl asked West if he could rap her favorite track, titled "I Love Kanye," to which the rapper agreed to.

Naturally, the young patient was overjoyed that she got to see her favorite rapper. Tragically, she died shortly after the call with West. Given that West is taking a break from all of the fame and publicity, it is quite surprising that he would just decide to free his schedule and meet with one of his fans -- even if it is just through cyber space.

Despite West's influence on social media, he did not publicize the encounter at all. In a tweet by Kim Kardashian-West, she replied to one of the cancer patient's acquaintances, and then expressed that the West family includes the patient in their prayers, as well as her family. The patient passed away on Jan. 1, just two days after chatting with West. It is safe to say that West is one of those artists who will come through for his fans, even in their darkest hour.

If it were not for the tweet from one of the patient's acquaintances, the news of West's good deed would not have made it to the public.
