The world joins Kate Middleton and Prince William in waiting for the arrival of royal baby number 2. 

The pregnant duchess is reportedly calm and in high spirits as she waits for signs that her new baby is ready to come out, according to a close family friend. 

Us Weekly exclusively talked with the source, who said that the royal mom is very happy right now surrounded by family and friends.

"She's well, in good spirits," said the source to Us Weekly. "Everyone is! Although it would be fair to say also eager for the time to come." 

The 33-year-old mother is expected to give birth to Prince George's sibling in late April, and people are still waiting for the announcement from the Palace that she is already in labor. 

Over the weekend, the royal couple received several guests at the Kensington Palace, including their close friend Guy Pelly and his wife Elizabeth Wilson, as well as the duke's brother, Prince Harry, who dropped by in the middle of his London Marathon appearance before he returned to his military training in Australia. 

While the palace waits for their new baby, the public is busy guessing the gender and the possible name of the newest member of the British royal family. 

Based on the YouGov survey posted on the Sunday Times, around 12 percent of those who answered a poll regarding the soon-to-be born royal child want a baby girl, and they want her to be named after Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana. 

Other popular name choices are Alice, after the Queen's aunt, as well as Charlotte, which takes after the duke's father Prince Charles. 

But if the baby turns out to be a boy, the public prefers the name James or Alexander.
