Kate Middleton has returned to her royal duties and has been out and about on official engagements during the past few weeks.

Recently, the Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance at the "Spectre" premiere with Prince William and Prince Harry, and the young royal dazzled in an ice blue gown while talking to the film's stars. But the Duchess found time to take her two-year-old son, Prince George. out on a mother-and-son visit to the Natural History Museum on Thursday, Oct. 22 and Radar Online was able to get a picture of their trip to the museum.

In the photo, the Duchess is seen holding her son's hand and appears to be talking to him. For the casual outing, the 33-year old donned a black sweater, black and white printed capri pants and black flats, while the prince wore blue trousers and a white collared shirt under a navy blue sweater.

The website reports that the Duchess kept a low profile while walking around the museum and that onlookers barely noticed that they were in the presence of royalty.

Museum visitor Rimi Rahman told People magazine, "She was holding George's hand, showing him around and talking to one of the people who worked there."

"People didn't notice her at all," Rahman added. "They went all around the dinosaur gallery—George looked so cute and little, his hair is so nice. He looked so happy."

A museum spokesman confirmed the royals' visit, and in a statement to the magazine said, "We are very happy to welcome Natural History Museum Patron HRH the Duchess of Cambridge for a private visit last Thursday."

While talking to children at an official engagement at Chance U.K., a child mentoring program in North London, earlier this week, the Duchess spoke about the museum visit with 10-year-old Carl Goddard and his mentor Claire Butler, according to the Daily Mail.

"She said that George was more interested in a pigeon they found there rather than the amazing exhibits," said Butler to the website.
