Are things about to get worse between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry?

Swift's number one hit, "Bad Blood," was widely rumored to be about Perry, and now, the "Firework" singer is said to be getting ready to fire back as a new report claims that the 30-year old has registered the song title "1984" with music publishers BMI. 

The move appears to be a dig at Swift, whose current album is titled "1989." According to Mirror, weeks after Swift released her "Bad Blood" video at the Billboard Music Awards last month, Perry recorded the new song and is about to let the music do the talking.

The feud between the two stars started when Swift told Billboard that "Bad Blood" was inspired by another female singer who had been mean to her. During the interview, the "Style" singer said that her female rival — who she refused to name — used to come up to her at awards shows and say things to her, and every time, she would wonder if that person has just given her the biggest insult of her life. But the main reason behind their feud, according to the 25-year old, is business.

"She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour," said Swift. "She tried to hire a bunch of people from under me."

After the interview was published, Perry immediately posted on Twitter, "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing."

Meanwhile, a source told Hollywood Life that Perry will have some of her famous friends participate in the video for "1984," and that the video will be the main rebuttal to "Bad Blood." In Swift's video, her friends Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Cindy Crawford, Hailee Steinfeld, Mariska Hargitay, Lena Dunham, and Ellen Pompeo, among others, were prominently featured, and the source said that one could expect that the video for Perry's "1984" will also feature subtle cameos from some of her famous pals. 

"One thing that has been discussed is for Katy to play multiple characters and have all the characters be multiple personalities that she believes that Taylor has," said the insider to the website.
