Ken Ham calls on atheist comedian Bill Maher to repent after dubbing God a 'psychotic mass murderer' on HBO's Real Time

Ken Ham

Creationist Ken Ham recently wrote in a blog post calling on atheist comedian Bill Maher to repent for his sins.

The Answers in Genesis President published a post titled "Bill Maher is Going to Pass On" this Sunday, singling out Bill Maher to repent for his God-hating comments to his HBO audience.

Ham wrote: "So why does God allow Bill Maher to continue his increasing God-hating comments? He really is tempting God. It's as if he's saying, "Come on God, I'm saying more and more outrageous things about You—come on—come and get me!" Bill Maher is blaming God for death because he does not want to accept that he is a sinner in need of salvation. He wants to be his own god—he shakes his fist at the God who created man and also provides the gift of salvation for those who will receive it.

If only he would follow this verse: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

He also said we need to pray for the atheist and said he truly fears for Bill Maher's soul.

"We need to pray for Bill Maher. In his present spiritual state, he will not only die once but twice: "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death" (Revelation 21:8).

Ken Ham's post comes in response to Bill Maher's recent outburst on HBO's Real Time in which he dubbed God a 'psychotic mass murderer.'

According to the Washington Times, the comedian said: "But the thing that's really disturbing about Noah isn't the silly, it's that it's immoral. It's about a psychotic mass murderer who gets away with it, and his name is God. What kind of tyrant punishes everyone just to get back at the few he's mad at? I mean, besides Chris Christie [the embattled governor of New Jersey]."
