The Kentucky Derby 2014 takes place on Saturday and millions across the country will be excited to see this year's races. The first race starts at 10.30 a.m. ET and the main races and TV coverage will start from 4 p.m. ET on the NBC network. The Triple Crown race is one of the stand out events of the year on the racing calendar and brings together tradition as well as a celebrity factor and millions of viewers across the country.

Todd Pletcher, who won this event in 2007 with Super Saver has now moved on and is currently training Danza.

He is optimistic that his colt has a good chance, and he spoke to Gary West of ESPN to say: "He's been working well and doing well, and we have to be pleased with how he's coming into this race. He's getting better and better."
