The Keswick Convention will take place on 16th July to 5th August 2005. The three week long event, organised by Keswick Ministries aims to deepen the spiritual life of individuals and church communities through the interpretation and application of Scripture.

The Convention is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Lake District and the programme is designed to provide activities for all ages and interest groups.

There will be three Bible reading speakers every week. The first week will belong to Sinclair B Ferguson, the Professor of Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary and theologian-in-residence at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, Dallas. His pastoral experience has included serving as assistant minister to George B Duncan in St George's-Tron Church, Glasgow, where he also served as minister from 1998-2003. During the mid 1970's he was minister in Unst, the most northerly inhabited island in Scotland. He is the author of numerous books, including 'A Heart for God' and 'The Holy Spirit.'

During the convention he will be giving an overview of the book of Romans.

The second week will introduce Stephen Gaukroger, Senior Minister of Gold Hill Baptist Church in Buckinghamshire - the largest Baptist Church in England. He is on the Council of Spurgeon's College, was President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain from 1994-95 and currently acts as a Consultant for the European Board of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.

He will lead the attendants through The Gospel in Isaiah.

During the third week Dominic Smart will reveal The Gospel in the Old Testament.

Dominic Smart is currently the Minister at Gilcomston South Church in Aberdeen and teaches on Christian communication in a post-modern world at the Highland Theological College. He is author of two books, 'Truth and Tolerance' and 'When we get it wrong.'

Workouts sessions are the opportunity to hear and talk about the issues relevant to the everyday life and includes topics such as 'Being a Gospel Church', 'The Gospel for the City', or 'The Gospel in the Workplace.'

The event is also an opportunity to enjoy the culture - the celebration held in the main tent will combine worship, drama, interviews, prayer and more inspirational teachings every evening.
