"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian does not see the point why singer Ciara and NFL star Russell Wilson had to abstain from sex before marriage, especially since Ciara already gave birth to son Future Zahir Wilburn back on May 19, 2014.

"They should be having sex. With all due respect to Ciara, she has a baby. It's not like we don't know if she is a virgin or not," the 31-year-old said, according to Life & Style Magazine.

"None of us would know about it if they weren't publicly telling us that they are practicing celibacy, so who are you trying to prove this to? Is it a look?" she added.

It seemed like Kardashian received a lot of backlash because of her statements because she later explained and defended herself on her Twitter account (@khloekardashian): "It's so frustrating how people misconstrue my words. I love [and] adore Ciara! I respect [her] on so many levels. Was freely discussing my views on celibacy [and] people twist [and] turn everything [to] create a feud."

The reality star insisted that people took her statements out of context. "People are watching an edited version and not from the show. That's the issue," she wrote.

Kardashian later retweeted a comment shared by an understanding fan who defended her from bashers. "I [thought] there was nothing wrong with your statement. It's so horrible how people can twist things for gossip, it's sad."

Another fan added, "I thought you touched on the subject in a respectful manner. Don't make a [problem] out of nothing, people."

Much later, Kardashian shared a quote that was probably intended for her critics: "I stopped explaining myself when I realised that people only understand from their level of perception."
