"Killer Instinct," the fighting game from Microsoft Game Studios and Iron Galaxy, may be increasing its playable roster with characters coming from older "Killer Instinct" games and other franchises such as "Perfect Dark" or the "Halo" franchise.

According to a report from Polygon, indications of new characters being added via upcoming DLC was hinted at when the developers released a survey that included some characters that could be added to the game. The survey is no longer available for people to answer although its page can still be visited.

The report points out that the survey lists down more than a dozen possible choices and asks participants to rate which ones they want to see the most as new characters in the game. There are also characters which are already in the game but may be given alternative appearances and move sets.

Some of the latter include a version of Cinder where he has not yet transformed into the character he is now and a "Broccoli Man" iteration of Aganos.

It is revealed that the other choices include Joanna Dark from the "Perfect Dark" series. The game franchise was once owned by Rare, developers of the original "Killer Instinct," but Microsoft has since acquired Rare and the game rights that they owned. This includes acquisition of "Conker" and "Killer Instinct."

Another possible new character is a Covenant Brute from the "Halo" series. The Brutes are known as some of the most powerful physical enemies in the sci-fi franchise which would make them an ideal fit for a fighting game, other than the Covenant Elite.

There is also the option to vote for an unnamed agent from the "Crackdown" video game and even a Lovecraftian fighter. If none of the choices are suitable then the participant can type in a character they want to see added to "Killer Instinct" and it is likely Microsoft will consider looking at the most popular write-ins.
