Episode 3 of the space adventure drama "Killjoys" saw D'Avin Jaqobis (Luke Macfarlane) escorting a doctor, whose signature he needed on his psychological assessment, to the Leith Bazaar.

"The Harvest" also showed Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) and John Jaqobis (Aaron Ashmore) accepting a warrant to bring back a migrant worker to Westerley. John found out later, however, that there was more to the simple job after going undercover on Leith, Movie News Guide reports.

The episode began with D'Avin being accepted as a Level 4 Killjoy, outranking his brother and sponsor, John. However, he still needs to pass the psych exam to become a full-pledged bounty hunter. He then went to Pree's (Thom Allison) bar where he started fighting a customer in exchange for free drinks.

Dutch, who got nothing from interrogating her target, broke up the brawl. She suggested that D'Avin ask Pawter Simms (Sarah Power) to sign off on his evaluation sheet so that he would be clear to join them. She said that would be possible if he accompanied the doctor to Leith, where she needed to buy some supplies.

Meanwhile, John hooked up with N'oa (Elena Juatco), a girl from the bar. Her husband Vincent Sh'ao (Stefano DiMatteo), a hoc harvester on Leith, went AWOL and his work visa would expire in two days. She urged John to take the warrant she had put out for him.

John then got Dutch to agree to one last mission together before D'Avin joined the team. While picking up her cover as a hoc distributor, she confessed to Bellus Haardy (Nora McLellan) that John needed "a win" and that he had lost his beat when his brother came along.

On Leith, John went undercover as a migrant worker. He got tagged in the ear as custom, and he quickly learned that if he ran away or went out of his picking zone, he would be blown to pieces. He told Dutch, who was staying at the house of Martell (George Tchortov), that to track Vincent's ear tag, they need Martell's eye scan. Dutch got her chance when she knocked out the farm owner in bed.

In Leith, Pawter discovered that D'Avin had Stress Response Disorder, which was triggered by the flares at the Harvest celebration. When she cleared him from duty, the doctor asked the Killjoy if she could treat him.

Back at Martell's, Dutch discovered that Vincent and some others had their tagged ears removed. John asked Shyla (Hannah Anderson) to remove his own ear and then went to a jack grow up where he could presumably find Vincent.

When Dutch learned that several defoliation ships were coming to the grow up to catch John, she went to help and they managed to return to Westerley with Vincent. However, they arrived one hour late after Vincent's work visa expired, and that he now had to serve at the mines.

John then revealed to Dutch that he had been feeling inferior to D'Avin and that he was worried his brother would replace him on the team. Dutch assured him that they would always be partners and that he was irreplaceable.

According to TV Fanatic, the chemistry of the three leads on the show was spot on and that the interaction between Aaron Ashmore and Luke Macfarlane as brothers was "genuine and comfortable," Also, delving into issues of insecurity and sibling rivalry makes the Jaqobis brothers "more human."

"Killjoys" airs every at 9 p.m. Friday on SyFy.
