Digital entertainment bigwig Disney Interactive has announced the lineup for its upcoming annual D23 Expo. In a statement released to the press through Business Wire, the company laid out its plans for the upcoming event.

One of the biggest segments expected at the event is Disney's unveiling of additional details regarding its upcoming game titles, most notable of which is "Kingdom Hearts 3." The game is scheduled to make an appearance, and participants and hardcore fans will be treated to surprise details and additional information about the upcoming role-playing fantasy platformer from publisher Square Enix. Although no specifics were mentioned, observers are expecting to see a new gameplay trailer for the title as well as details on new game features.

In the third installment in the "Kingdom Hearts" main story series, gamers will return to the adventures of Sora as he joins other Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Characters from other Square Enix video games such as the "Final Fantasy" series and "The World Ends With You" will also make their appearances.

Meanwhile, aside from the much-hyped fantasy title from Square Enix, other notable upcoming games will also be making an appearance. It is reported that publisher Electronic Arts will also be going with a playable demo version of "Star Wars: Battlefront."

In addition, Disney Interactive will also be unveiling details about its new take on hybrid toy and video game title "Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition." In the Only in the Toy Box Experience booth, participants and fans will be able to interact with the upcoming title's characters through augmented reality technology. Those who are into collecting figures will also have the chance to take home assorted "Infinity" figurines since Disney will be giving away pre-release "Infinity 3.0" figurines.

This year's D23 Expo will be held in Anaheim, California next month.
