"Kingdom Hearts" gaming fans have been waiting long and hard for the release of the third installment of the game. But until now, there's still no announcement made and there isn't even a clue as to when it will be made.

It is obvious that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is taking longer to be rolled out than expected. Factoring in the new management and new technology used, it is quite understandable why the game release has been further delayed.

Creator of the game Tai Yasue was kind enough to give fans some reassurance about the game. He had a long talk with IGN and he explained why the development progress is moving at a slower pace. One of the primary reasons is that the game development team has made the switch to Unreal 4 engines mid-way in development. This happened when game director Tetsuya Nomura took over the game.

"Nomura has always been working on Kingdom Hearts III full-time, so nothing's really changed there. Nomura is really the visionary, so he doesn't work on the nitty gritty details. That's something we do in Osaka; alongside development, we do the technology," Yasue told IGN.

He added, "That hasn't really changed. We get Nomura's input but it's not a day-to-day thing, he just has these big ideas sometimes he tells us about. The pace really depends on how our team's doing and that was never affected."

Yasue also said that despite the delay, the team is working hard. However, when asked about the inclusion of "Star Wars" characters and universes in the game, the game creator would rather not talk about it yet.

"I can't really go into any specifics or say anything about Star Wars, but when we come up with worlds we really want variety and to make sure that there's a lot of different types of worlds," Yasue affirmed.

He did make it clear that the worlds he was talking about can be any other world that will make the game different and original. The addition of "Star Wars" will definitely make the game more unique.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy the trailer until any news about the release is made. Watch it here.
