Despite the lack of official announcement from Square Enix, it is said that the highly anticipated "Kingdom Hearts 3" may finally arrive in 2018, and its newest trailer will finally be released at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017.

There is no denying that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is one of the most-anticipated games ever. Without any official announcement from its developer, Square Enix, many fans are left in limbo, though, as to when it will arrive. However, according to recent reports, fans may not have to wait that long before "Kingdom Hearts 3" arrives as, allegedly, the game will finally be out next year.

Rumors about "Kingdom Hearts 3" finally arriving in 2018 stemmed from the series of tweets of trusted Square Enix insider Jose Álamo. In his tweets, the tipster claims that new snippets of the game will be finally revealed at the upcoming E3 2017, happening at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 13 to 15, and that the game will be released next year.

There is a catch, though. Intriguingly, Álamo also tweeted that, whether the game will be finished or not, Square Enix will be releasing it. However, it is suspected that it does not mean that a good chunk of the game's content will be missing; rather, it means the game may not include all the features it originally planned for the game to avoid any delays.

It is suspected that one of the reasons why "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be "complete" is due to its creator's, Tetsuya Nomura, perfectionism that caused the extension of the game's development cycle. Additionally, it is also said that the process involved is rather exhausting, and including all the whims originally planned may cause the game to be further delayed.

To recall, it was at E3 2013 where "Kingdom Hearts 3" was announced. Will it finally arrive next year, or five years after its announcement?

Fans can only hope so.
