During the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015, a preview of the action-packed combat sequences in "Kingdom Hearts 3" was showcased, reinforcing Square Enix's attempt to blow fans away and make a statement with its unique, wide-ranging mechanic. 

In a recent interview, director Tetsuya Nomura talked technical about the gameplay fashioned for the game, and explained further how Keyblade transformations will play out in the installment and ultimately, what gamers will get out of them. 

"You can transform the Keyblade if conditions are met and there are several transformation stages. When Sora's Keyblade has been changed into a particular form, you will be able to use its form specific abilities," Nomura explained during a chat with KH Insider. 

"In addition to the Keyblade transformations for Sora, it becomes possible to maneuver using specific forms and actions. There will be many battle choices. Take whatever strategy, it will be up to the player. Of course, for those who button mash will have an exhilarating experience but for those who want technical fights will also find fun making combinations," Nomura said. 

In addition to the gamers' newfound ability to turn Sora's Keyblade into two ranged pistols and various weapons, the Attraction Flow, which allows Sora to take control of large vehicles, is here to stay. 

Nomura also doused worries about the players' mobility being "too extreme" in the game with the assurance that the combat is "divided into a new flow of action."

"As an action game there is much more you'd want to do. You can move seamlessly in the map, and you can do the flashy actions that were shown in the trailer," Nomura said. 

However, he refused to drop details regarding the new worlds apart from Rapunzel's to be integrated in "Kingdom Hearts 3." When asked, he simply urged fans to "wait for more information in the future. There are a number of worlds that will delight everyone. Please look forward to it."
