In spite of the rampant rumors that "Kingdom Hearts III" will come out later this year, the latest installment of the "Kingdom Hearts" saga is still not included in the list of games that Sony will release in the next 10 months.

A recent report from Gameranx claimed that there is a possibility that "Kingdom Hearts III" will finally be rolled out in 2015 since game developer Square Enix reported that they are already doing the finishing touches for "Final Fantasy XV." It was then speculated that the developers would have more time to work on the third installment of the series. However, The Christian Times noted that Sony did not include the title in the list of games that will come out this year.

The upcoming action role-playing game created by Square Enix is reported to be the eighth chapter in the "Kingdom Hearts" saga. It will reportedly come with an online multiplayer mode once it is released to the public. According to Christian Times, the upcoming game will showcase the final battle between the game's main protagonist Sora and the evil Master Xenhort as part of the final episode of the "Dark Seeker" series.

Game producer Tetsuya Nomura discussed the gameplay for "Kingdom Hearts" in June 2013, saying, "The action's pretty frantic. The really bold action we've always had is getting even crazier. Kingdom Hearts III has three-person parties, but NPCs and other characters join the fight in each individual world, and the resulting action is really flashy and exciting. The enemy AI is a lot more intricate, too, and I think the gameplay will reflect that new dynamic balance. For example, there's a foe that's shaped like a vehicle, and Sora may jump on it and fly around; that's already implemented."

Aside from Sora, other "Kingdom Hearts" characters who will return to the game are King Mickey, Riku, as well as Sora's second-in-command Goofy and Donald Duck.
