"Kingsman: The Secret Service" proved to be an effective espionage and action film in 2015, with many critics calling it a better "James Bond" film than "Spectre." A sequel is now being developed, and according to a report from Empire Magazine (via ComicBookMovie) director Matthew Vaughn has since revealed its title and plot.

According to the report, the film will be titled "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," and while there is no explanation what this "golden circle" may be referring to, it is speculated that it may be about a ring of villains led by Julianne Moore's character, who is also the film's primary antagonist.

At this point Moore's character is only referred to as Poppy and the concept art has revealed she will have her own special base known as Poppy Land. 

The film will also see the Kingsman secret service of spies work alongside their American counterpart, revealed to be the Statesman. The concept art showcases that the Statesman headquarters is located within a whiskey distillery. How the two secret service branches work together has yet to be seen as the latter's existence was only mildly referenced in the first film.

Other concept art show the Kingsman headquarters being destroyed, with the main character Eggsy (Taron Egerton) standing amidst the rubble. It is further stated that after this attack, the Kingsman will begin their hunt for Poppy and her allies, propelling the main plot forward. 

Vaughn also revealed whether or not a scene similar to the first film's church sequence, in which Galahad (Colin Firth) massacred a whole group of people being manipulated by the villain Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson), will take place.

"You try not to read what people want," the director explained, "but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you've never seen before."

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" releases on June 17, 2017.
