Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have a happy and prosperous nine-year relationship, which is rare among celebrities. Bell shares her secret to successful parenting and how to handle young kids as they grow up and explore the world.

The "Frozen" voice actress shared that she and husband Shepard usually switch places when having to deal with their kids. Like other children, their daughters, Lincoln, 4, and Delta, 2, would naturally have billions of questions once they explain something to them. When Bell gets full, she just goes to her husband and tells him that it is "his turn."

"Because if I'm talking to the 2 ½-year-old and, I'm done, I'll just be like, 'We got to switch. I don't want to talk to this kid anymore,'" said Bell during the Alliance of Moms' Raising Baby event last Saturday, Nov.18.

She further added that she does this to avoid getting frustrated with her daughters. "You don't want to be reactive to your kids. You want to be thoughtful, and you want to be setting a good example," she added.

When it is her loving husband's turn, Bell is not surprised at how good he is when dealing with the kids. Bell compliments Shepard as he is always one step ahead of the kids. As to why she easily becomes "reactive," she credits this to lack of sleep saying that she would naturally be more patient after a good night's sleep.

As for her secret to keeping her relationship with Shepard, she says that it is not much a trick or an actual mystery. Bell emphasizes the point of having to continually communicate with each other the same way they do with both of their kids, as per US Magazine. Just as they each take breaks from their children, they too take breaks from each other.
