Kristen Stewart has transitioned from being a teen favorite in the "Twilight" movies to being a notable actress. The 25-year-old became the first American to win a Cesar Award for her role in "Clouds of Sils Maria."

While the star continues to focus on more challenging roles such as a turn in an upcoming Woody Allen flick, Stewart has often said that she does not regret playing Bella Swan in the "Twilight" franchise, though the role caused the loss of her privacy and endless speculation on her personal life.

Stewart made her mark in the industry when she starred in "Panic Room" alongside Jodie Foster when she was only 12 years old, but she shot to fame in the film franchise was based on Stephenie Meyer's novels.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart said that she worked on "Twilight" when she was only 17 and when it came out a year later, her life "was never even remotely the same." Instead of focusing on her performance, fans and critics alike began to talk about her appearance, her behavior, and her relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson. But Stewart said that she is not sorry for the whole experience.

"A whole lot of baggage—really heavy and cool baggage—came along with it," she told THR.

Stewart was taking a hiatus from acting when "Clouds of Sils Maria" was offered to her, and the star said that she went for the role because it gave her an opportunity to stand up for herself.

"I've played a lot of characters that don't speak a lot," she explained. "At that point I think I was ready to start filming."

Despite all the criticism and endless scrutiny on her personal life, the actress said that she has no plans to stop acting anytime soon.

"I feel really stimulated and challenged and not bored," Stewart said of acting. "If that ran out, then I would stop acting."
