All- Star player Blake Griffin, who has been playing for Clippers since 2009, and point guard Chris Paul are recently the subject of speculations about them being traded by Los Angeles Clippers to other teams.

This rumor was, however, refuted by head coach Doc Rivers in an interview by Adrian Wojnarowski on "The Vertical Podcast with Roj". He said that when teams expressed interest they say that they are holding on to Griffin and that they 'have no interest'. He further pointed out that no team was reaching out for a possible deal since they know that Clippers will never accept one in the expense of Griffin.

Rivers told his son to search where the rumors all started. His son trace it back to Boston where the head coach did an interview in a radio talk show. "The guy didn't say that we had been talking, he said Blake was one of the guys that Boston should go after. That started the next step to the next step. That stuff is tough," he explained.

Rivers just wanted for the rumors to take its course and finally quiet down since none of them supports a foundation of the truth. However, fans cannot simply just stay put when they know that Blake Griffin along with Chris Paul will be out of contract and be free agents in 2017.

There is still a possibility of them choosing to play for other teams had those teams offered a deal they cannot possibly refuse.

With this, Rivers just expressed his hope for the players to end their basketball career playing for Clippers. He stated that, with the team's latest owner, Steve Ballmer, they could both make sure that losing players to other teams will not happen.

"With Steve, I'm extremely confident that we can keep both. You know, listen, winning is the key. The better we play on the floor, the better chance we have of not only keeping those guys but actually adding to our basketball team. That's always the key factor in this. Quality of life is important, being comfortable, players getting along with the staff and each other. All that goes into it. But I think we're in a good place there. I know both of them have said they want to play here. They want to play for us forever. Your job never stops. You never relax. You never take a player for granted," he said.
