Kobe Bryant is expected to be back in action for the Los Angeles Lakers and one thing that the Black Mamba is hoping for heading into the coming season is to be injury-free.

It hasn't exactly been a fruitful couple of years for Kobe who was ruled out of the 2014-15 NBA season when he suffered a torn rotator cuff last January. Bryant already underwent surgery and will likely be fit by the time the 2015-16 NBA season opens shop.

But aside from Kobe's return, there is the matter of the long-time Laker star's contract. He is apparently headed into the last year of his deal with the purple and gold and one thing fans are asking is on whether he would be retiring after this coming season.

In a Q&A interview with Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports, Kobe mentions that he hasn't even though of that yet. But he does say that there is a possibility that this would be his last.

But all that would depend on how the coming season turns out for the 36 year old guard who seems to have done it all.

If the time comes for him to consider retirement, Kobe doesn't plan to make it overhyped. It will be made by the offseason so expect Kobe to avoid the topic in the course of the coming regular season.

Kobe will most likely take on a new role with rumors about the scoring champion moving up to small forward. Kobe doesn't find any problem with moving to the shooting forward position despite the fact that many are making a big deal out of it.

On the financial side, Kobe makes it clear that he will play because he loves to. It is not about the matter of how much he would get since he believes that his family is well-off.

This angle was apparently brought up on the assumption that he is not re-signed by the Lakers, some other team could end up wooing him to play on a lucrative short-term deal. But will Kobe bite?

His answer was as long as he sees himself fit to play, he will. It could be in the NBA for the Lakers or some other team or even overseas. At this point in his career, anything is possible.
