Before the 69th season of NBA officially starts on Oct. 28, here is a round-up of the latest happenings in the camp of the LA Lakers.

One of the questions that have been haunting the minds of NBA fans is the supposed transfer of Marc Gasol to LA Lakers.

Will Marc follow his brother Pau's lead and abandon the Memphis Grizzlies and move to the Lakers?

Since Marc became a restricted free agent at the end of the 68th season, there is a possibility that this transfer could happen.

But not like his brother, who was traded to the Lakers by the Grizzlies, Marc would be leaving the team via free agency. It will also take quite a huge offer for him to consider leaving Memphis.

The Grizzlies have the capacity to match any offer that will land on Gasol's lap, which is why the Lakers will have to present a huge amount of money to make the deal possible.

Also, Marc Gasol will have to be interested in playing for the LA Lakers, which is not the case at this point.

Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders reported that the younger Gasol is not looking forward to sign up for the team in Hollywood or any other team at this moment.

In his Twitter account, Kyler posted an answer to a question about the Spanish baller.

The post reads, "@RambysPro: Any chance Marc Gasol goes to LA? --> he'll be an unrestricted free agent, so always possible, don't get the sense he's looking."

Also, Marc Gasol is considered as the type of player who has no interest in playing for the big cities like Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago.

In another news, Detroit Pistons restricted free agent Greg Monroe is also considering to sign with LA Lakers next season. However, Monroe is also open to any other deals from other teams like the NY Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, as well as Houston Rockets.
