American pop singer and songwriter Lady Gaga has announced on her Twitter page last Tuesday, Dec. 19, that she is indeed having a concert residency at Las Vegas, Nevada. What started out as rumors that circulated for the past few months, Gaga's social media announcement finally confirms that she will be committing a lot of time at Park Theater in Las Vegas.

In Lady Gaga's Tweet, she stated that "The rumors are true! I will have my own residency at MGM's Park Theater." She added, "Get ready for a brand new show!! It's been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I'm so overjoyed!" The rumors have been circulating for an estimated year and a half, and this is definitely going to be great news for the Monsters, which is what Lady Gaga adoringly calls her loyal fans. 

Included in Gaga's social media announcement are pictures of her signing the deal with Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts, as well as with Chris Baldizan, who is the senior vice president of entertainment, booking and development at the MGM Resorts, and Richard Sturm, who is the president and COO of sports and entertainment.

The Theater Park at the MGM Grand has a seating capacity of over 5,000. 

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Lady Gaga will be doing 36 shows during her residency, and it is estimated that she will be cashing in around $400,000 per show. However, it is notable to mention that her plan for residency only begins some time during the fourth quarter of 2018, which may possibly last until 2020 depending on whether the schedule can be followed, and if Lady Gaga remains healthy during her residency. 

The deal that Lady Gaga made with the MGM grand is estimated to be worth $100 million, and will be clearing a guaranteed $75 million after her two-year residency.
