Agent Benson has been one busy girl this season 16 of "Law and Order: SVU." After helping a girl from cyber threats and a daughter trapped in a prostitution ring, Benson is on another important mission. However, this time, it's not a girl who is in trouble. It is a man who is believed to be abused by his wife.

Episode 16 is titled "December Solstice" and it features author Walter Briggs and his sixth wife Charmaine. As the title suggests, Walter and Charmaine are in a May-December love affair, but is it really love? The daughters of Walter from his previous marriages are accusing Charmaine of abusing their father. Hence, the daughters want to go on a full-out war to get control of their father's well-being and estates.

The official synopsis for "December Solstice" goes:

"Celebrity author Walter Briggs is the focus of a feud between his sixth wife, Charmaine, and his daughters from previous marriages. The fight over control for both his well-being and his estate becomes a criminal case when Charmaine is accused of abusing her husband. Meanwhile, Barba (Raul Esparza) struggles with his own family drama when he goes against his grandmother's wishes."

CBS released a preview for the episode and there, one of Walter's daughters says, "Dad, she won't let us see you."

Later, they tell the SVU team that Charmaine is giving him too much pills. They suspect that Charmaine is trying to kill Walter for his money.

Season 16 of "Law & Order: SVU" is filled with socially relevant issues. "December Solstice" follows the story of the late Casey Kasem and his young wife. When Casey got sick, his wife wouldn't let his daughters visit him. The feud was brought to court and there was a battle for conservatorship.

Catch Marcia Cross as Charmaine and Robert Vaughn as Walter Briggs in "Law & Order: SVU" season 16 episode 16. It will air this Wednesday, Feb. 25, on CBS.
