'Law and Order SVU' season 18 episode 4 spoilers: Amanda's sister is set free
Fans will see a familiar face once again when "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 returns to the small screen with a brand new installment.
In episode 4 of the season, titled "Heightened Emotions," Kim Rollins (Lindsay Pulsipher), the sister of Amanda (Kelli Giddish), will be officially back as a free woman.
According to the synopsis, the sisters, who have not been the most sisterly as seen over the course of the long-running drama, will reconnect in "Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 4, now that Kim is finally out of prison on parole.
Fans will remember that Kim was arrested for assaulting Slice and for drugging Anton when she worked as a prostitute, which led him to rape another woman named Alessandra.
Kim also tricked Amanda into killing her former boyfriend, Jeff (Theis Weckesser), by making it look like he was trying to sexually assault her while she was pregnant, which almost resulted in prison time for the detective.
Kim was last seen in the previous season of "Law and Order: SVU" where the assault on Slice happened.
She, however, had a plan to shorten her prison time. This included using her history of being abused and raped as a way to cut down the sentence to a year, which may have worked since episode 4 teases she is free.
Meanwhile, "Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 4 will also see Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the team working on a complicated case.
The unit will tackle the case of an Olympics-aspiring athlete, who becomes a victim of a sexual assault. She is not sure about filing a case since it will mean her secret life as a prostitute will be exposed.
Living the double life apparently helps her in pursuing her dreams to be in the Olympics. However, she is faced with a tough decision to come clean and get justice or to take it all in and continue.
"Law and Order: SVU" season 18 episode 4, "Heightened Emotions," will air on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
