'Layers of Fear: Legacy' news: Bloober Team releases new trailer for its upcoming 2018 horror video game

Video game company Bloober Team dropped a new trailer for its upcoming first-person horror video game "Layers of Fear: Legacy." The new trailer is Christmas-themed with a dash of everything scary.

Bloober Team greeted everyone a Merry Christmas in the new trailer of its anticipated horror video game. The Christmas trailer of the video game was released on Dec. 20. The video teaser features earie rooms, crying babies, blood, a moving piano, and more. The entire video is accompanied by a piano rendition of the traditional Christmas song "Silent Night."

The trailer received positive feedback from people who had already played other "Layers of Fear" video game installments. The Legacy edition of the franchise will include the original story of the game as well as the DLC update "Layers of Fear: Inheritance.

"Layers of Fear: Legacy" is an exclusive game for the Nintendo Switch to be released in the first quarter of 2018. Bloober Team is yet to announce the exact release date of the video game.

The plot of the entire "Layers of Fear" video game franchise centers on the everyday life of an insane who resides in an old Victorian house. The timeline of the game engages in the 19th century period. Gamers are tasked to find out about the past of the painter and all the horror it holds. The main goal of the game is to fully unravel everything about the painter in order to complete his final masterpiece.

The original video game "Layers of Fear" was released back on Feb. 16, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The psychedelic horror video game received mixed reviews from critics. The game got an impressive score of 9 out of 10 from Steam. IGN, on the other hand, gave the video game a score of 5.8 out of 10.
