A supposed post-credits scene for "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which hits theaters in some parts of the world today, was leaked. It did not take long for fans to gawk at the gem, but director Joss Whedon confirmed it is nothing but a sham. 

Apparently, the well-made footage, which introduces Spider-Man in the universe, is a fake. Whedon reiterates that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will break the post-credits tradition.

"There is nothing at the very end. And that's not a fake-out," he told Entertainment Weekly. "We want people to know so they don't sit there for 10 minutes and then go: 'Son of a b****! I'll kill them!'" 

Now, the quest to find the source of the footage is in full swing. Whedon emphasized that he had no idea who came up with it or how it started. What fans do know is that the maker of the clip has done a wonderful job in making it look like a post credits scene. The video shows a window washer cleaning the glass panes of a high-rise building, revealing Spider-Man who tells him he "missed a spot" as the man wipes down the last panel.

The alleged post credits scene really looks like one from a Marvel movie, which had many believing that it came from a film in the MCU. For this to be true, the titanic company should have found the actor to wear the spandex and so far, no one has yet filled up that job. Also, Marvel reportedly does not plan on bringing the wise-cracking web-slinging superhero this early. 

[Spoiler Alert!] If there is someone "Avengers: Age of Ultron" established, it is Thanos. The brooding supervillain and his sinister plans were reportedly seen, which could be an indication of what's to come in the third and fourth Avengers films, "Avengers: Infinity War" Parts 1 and 2. 

As for Spider-Man's arrival, his cue is not until "Captain America: Civil War," which will premiere in May next year.
