Recently, the basketball world blew up with news of LeBron James apparently opening the possibility of talks with huge rival team Golden State Warriors. Given how the Warriors are an undeniable super team, adding the arguably best player of this generation to this super team would shake things up. However, it may just be LeBron's warning to the Cavs following his frustrations with the team.

The report was first brought up by ESPN. According to the report, James would be willing to make negotiations with the Warriors if they make space for a max slot. While on the surface level it does just seem too unreal, the report did say that even if this is the case, it acknowledges that it is unlikely for the Warriors to consider taking James.

That said, James' apparent decision to let the world know about opening talks with the Warriors may mean something else. Given his team's current status right now, which is where James does now want it to be in, it may just be a huge and obvious hint to his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavs are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the league right now. They have made three trips to the Championships and took one home, marking the first ever for Cleveland. However, this season is a lot different with a lot of struggles here and there. James points this to how the team is being run and not exactly the players.

James would be entering free agency this off-season. If the rumors of him moving to another team, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers, did not scare the front office, James probably made sure this time. Even then, the Warriors is one of the well-run team and bringing in James would not do them good.

Again, despite ESPN being the first one to report, it only mentions "league sources." At this point, it is best to take things with a grain of salt.
