LeBron James is undoubtedly busy with the Cleveland Cavaliers as he leads the charge to possibly land the franchise's first National Basketball Association (NBA) title this year.

With the season in full swing, James hardly has enough time to chit-chat unless, of course, it comes during breaks. But that hasn't stopped the King from helping out a 19-year-old high school football coach who may not live past his 20s.

Emanuel Duncan's story, which was put up by Gregg Doyel via the Indianapolis Star, reached James. The Cavaliers star player then spared the time to write and send Duncan a personal letter along with some items just to let him know that he was able to read the story and was thinking of him.

Duncan, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, has a bucket list and one of the things in the list is his wish to meet James. The list is something that Duncan uses to motivate him and keep him going. He looks up to James as someone who inspires him and said that it would certainly be something that would make his day.

In the heart-warming letter that he sent to Duncan, James wrote, "They make me think of the PROMISES I have made to myself and others. Here's one for you and me to share as we work with kids... I PROMISE TO NEVER GIVE UP."

James explained to reporters during the Cavs' shootaround at Madison Square Garden before their match against the New York Knicks last Friday what triggered him to reach out to Duncan. He said, according to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today Sports, "Obviously I know there's a lot of kids and there's a lot of people around the world who are in similar situations or situations of their own that's kind of tough or they're trying to find a way out. I just thought this one was unique and it means something to me. Just me being myself."

And how did he learn about it? "I've got a great team," replied James.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are not scheduled to play at Indianapolis against the Pacers until February 2016. Hopefully, James will take time out to meet Duncan, something the teenager said would certainly make his day.
