A lot of eager Link fans were pretty disappointed with the news that the upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game will be moved to a mid-year release. However, it seems that the delay will have a silver lining as it could result in various benefits for the game.

According to Game N Guide, there are several reasons why "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" needs to have a delayed release. First of all, the delay implies that the game will become more refined. After all, Nintendo has made the pledge to make the game as close to perfection as possible, and as such this means that Nintendo is committed enough to develop the game for the Nintendo Switch in order for it to become the best game in the series.

Furthermore, the delay will certainly cause more hype for the game. No teaser, trailer, or promotion can compare with the release of the actual game, especially for those who have been playing the titles in the "Legend of Zelda" franchise ever since the first game was released years ago.

There are more exciting things to do while waiting for the game, though, which includes fan theories, game analysis, and easter eggs.

Also, if the game is delayed, it will give the company more time to work on the Nintendo Switch so the console will have a warmer reception upon its eventual release. As fans know, console launches are commonly rife with issues, especially when it comes to the high demand over the limited number of units available.

Now, if the game is released later on, fans will not need to worry about getting their console or a copy of the game itself.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been confirmed to be released in the second quarter of 2017 for the Nintendo Switch console system, according to Science World Report.
