A recent report from Bleeding Cool stated that CW's "Legends of Tomorrow" might be bringing in Matt Ryan to reprise his role as Constantine, this time as a series regular. However, the report has since been updated and it appears this plan may not come to fruition as CW is now considering cancelling the show altogether.

The report explains that "Legends of Tomorrow" is proving to be too expensive to produce and may be several times more expensive than either "The Flash" or "Arrow." This should be a given, however, considering that both shows only focus on one superpowered hero instead of a whole team of people, each one with their on powers.

According to a report from Cinema Blend, the fact that "Legends of Tomorrow" is filled with superpowered individuals, it is likely the production costs have gone up in order to create the required special effects.

Unlike "The Flash" where the special effects are mostly limited to just one character or "Arrow" where there are little special effects since it focuses more on fight choreography, "Legends of Tomorrow" will force the special effects team to work around the clock to accomplish the visual feats of each member of the group.

Cinema Blend points out that this may lead to different results: the first is that the series may end with an unresolved cliffhanger or that the writers and producers will be aware of the show's doom and will make sure to end the first season in a satisfactory manner, with no loose ends left.

Of course with a show possibly ending after just one season, the report cites that it might no longer matter to speculate who will make it into season 2 given that there might not even be a season 2.

However, there is always the possibility that stellar viewer ratings and critical reviews may boost the show up and entice The CW to keep the show going for another season or two.

"Legends of Tomorrow" premieres on Jan. 21, 2016.
