Matt Ryan will be reprising his role as Constantine in the upcoming third installment of "Legends of Tomorrow."

The much awaited news of DCTV's resident demon hunter's appearance on The CW's hit superhero series "Legends of Tomorrow," had the most resounding positive response in all of Constantine's fandom. Comicbook.com was first to confirm Ryan's two-episode special on the show.

"We wanted the villains of season three to be different, so the whole aesthetic is much more about magic and the world of the supernatural...we're dealing with some supernatural evil, which is super cool," showrunner Phil Klemmer said on his interview with Rotten Tomatoes. He further added that John Constantine will be appearing in episodes 9 and 10 to perform an exorcism.

The dark arts dabbler first appeared in a crossover episode in "Arrow" back in 2015. In the episode, Constantine helped resurrect the soul of Sara Lance/White Canary. This was the character's first relation to the Legends as Sara was to be a staple member of the Waverider.

Ryan's superhero TV series in NBC was cancelled albeit its solid storyline and storytelling. The network chalked the cancellation of the second season to the low ratings of the first season.

Last January, fans were ecstatic to hear Ryan's voice behind the animated version of himself in the movie "Justice League Dark." Seeing Batman teaming up with Constantine along with Zatanna, Deadman and Etrigen was a good start-of-the-year treat for the followers of the demon hunter. This also hinted that the character had much to offer in the DC extended universe (DCEU).

Although fans will not be seeing Ryan in the live-action format, the second season of Constantine will be aired in CW Seed in animation form. Ryan will continue his demon-slaying escapades in "Constantine: The Animated Series."

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 10.
