Fans already knew that Jonah Hex will appear in the DC Comics TV-verse in the CW sooner or later but there was little to no information about his appearance, until today. It has been confirmed that "Legends of Tomorrow" will feature the antihero.

Jonah Hex will be appearing in an upcoming "Legends of Tomorrow" episode, titled "The Magnificent Eight," and he will be introduced as Rip Hunter's "old friend" who will help the team in their bid to defeat Savage.

The synopsis for the "Legends of Tomorrow" Jonah Hex episode is as follows:

DC COMICS' JONAH HEX MEETS THE TEAM – When the team needs a place to hide out, Rip sets a course for the Old West. Upon arrival, they start a fight with a gang of outlaws, putting the small town in jeopardy. Luckily, an old friend of Rip's, Jonah Hex steps in to save them.

Johnathon Schaech will portray the iconic DC Comics character. The actor has expressed his excitement about playing the role in "Legends of Tomorrow" on social media and has been hinting at his appearance. He even launched a Jonah Hex comic book giveaway for fans.

Jonah Hex's entrance in the TV-verse was first teased in an episode of "The Flash" season 2, when he showed up in the portal along with Supergirl, Connor Hawke and Henry Allen's 1990s Flash as Barry, Cisco and Harry made their way to Earth-2.

Apart from Jonah Hex, a "beloved" DC Comics superhero is set to appear on "Legends of Tomorrow" in the finale. His or her actions will be the "launching pad" for season 2. Rumor has it that this individual will be Booster Gold – a time-travelling superhero from 25th Century.

The "Legends of Tomorrow" episode featuring Jonah Hex will air on April 14. Until then, fans will have to watch the Waverider crew fend off Kronos and deal with the League of Assassins and Ra's al Ghul in the next episode, titled "Left Behind."

The show is on a break, however, and won't return until March 31.
