"Legends of Tomorrow" is slowly taking shape with new details out of New York Comic Con, where stars Brandon Routh (The Atom), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl) and executive producer Phil Klemmer served up info on what to expect about the series.

"It's a highly serialized (show) that will be broken down into chapters where we go back into a specific time and place," Klemmer explained during the show's panel, as quoted by Variety. "We will see the '70s, the Cold War, fascism, terrorism. It's fully insane," he went on to say.

"Legends of Tomorrow" follows a motley crew of heroes and villains that band together to defeat the immortal Vandal Savage, who plots to destroy the world and time itself. The group will do tons of time travelling to win the war against the baddie, who surprisingly has something to do with "Arrow" villain Damien Darhk.

During an interview with Comicbook.com, Neal McDonough, who just entered the scene as the big bad in the series, revealed that he will also appear both in the spinoff and even in "The Flash." The actor revealed that he shot an episode for "Legends of Tomorrow" where he played a younger version of himself from 1975.

He explains that in the series, his character "[went back] in time" so he looks exactly the same as he was years back, "but you see he's not as confident and doesn't have such an agenda forty years ago as he does now," McDonough differentiated.

In "The Flash," the character seems to be in deadly mode again, explaining that Damien is there having the time of his life watching people die. In the end, he promised fans that they will see Damien Darhk enjoy his power. He added that it's nobody else's time. "It's Damien Darhk's time."

"Legends of Tomorrow" premieres early next year. A premiere date is yet to be specified.
