A new budget smartphone with mid-range specs is expected to be released by Lenovo in India later this month. 

BGR reported that the Chinese electronics manufacturer sent out invites for an unannounced event to the Indian press early this week, which seems to support early rumors about the possible release of the brand's upcoming affordable new device called the Lenovo K3 Note. 

The text of the invite reads, "Note the date," with an obvious highlight on the word "Note." It also mentions that the event will be held on June 25, 2015 in New Delhi. 

Previous rumors about the device claim that the upcoming Lenovo K3 Note will come with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. It will also be equipped with a decent 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core 64-bit processor complete with 2 GB of RAM. It will have a built-in 16 GB internal memory, but it can be expanded up to 32 GB using the device's microSD card slot. The upcoming smartphone product from the Chinese mobile brand will also use the latest Android Lollipop straight out of the box.

The new Lenovo K3 Note is also said to feature a powerful 13-megapixel rear-facing primary camera with LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing secondary shooter that can be used for video calling as well as for taking selfie shots. 

Other notable features include the 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connections, and dual-SIM slots. Battery life will not be a problem for this device, since Lenovo is said to pack in a powerful 3000 mAh battery for its power-source. 

While Lenovo plans to release the upcoming K3 Note device in India, there are no reports about its possible reveal in other countries worldwide as of the moment.
