Lenovo is thinking of maximizing the upcoming Windows 10 platform for its new tablet and laptop line-ups.

At the Lenovo Tech World held in Beijing this week, the tech giant announced the new ThinkPad 10 series. Touted by the company as a "business tablet," the new line of Lenovo tablets is aimed primarily for business people, especially those who are always juggling their business activities while on the move.

According to Luis Hernandez, vice president of the ThinkPad Business arm of the company, the new tablet series will come packed with both standard and innovative features.

"Best in class, the ThinkPad 10 highlights our extreme focus on innovation and responding to the diverse needs of our customers and tablet usage scenarios," said Hernandez. "Now the most mobile of users can enjoy the best of both worlds with the convenience of a tablet and the function of a full-PC style experience without compromising mobility, connectivity and security."

The most notable feature that Lenovo is introducing with its new product line-up is a stylus. Called the ThinkPad Pen Pro, it has a WriteIt software that Lenovo says will be able to perform handwriting-to-text recognition and conversion in nearly any text field. Also, the new series of tablets are powerful enough that they can perform computing for both work and play.

Under the hood, the new Lenovo ThinkPad 10 runs on Intel's newest Atom quad-core processors. With dimensions of 10.1 x 7.0 inches, the new series measures close to the previous ThinkPad tablets. However, the new display is an upgraded WUXGA screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution strengthened by a Gorilla Corning Glass 3 for protection and added durability.

Aside from the upgraded and new features, it is reported that the new Windows 10 operating system by Microsoft will come native to the new tablets.
