Supposedly, a number of new iterations from China-based tech makers will come out next week, including Lenovo sub-brand's new flagship, the ZUK Edge.

A post on China-based social media site Weibo has a Lenovo ZUK executive teasing the upcoming flagship, indicating that the launch of the new device may happen as early as next week. In addition, the Weibo announcement also came with supposed press renders for the flagship, showcasing the ultra-thin bezels for the new device.

Prior to the post, the Lenovo ZUK Edge has also visited the TENAA certification agency in China, further fueling speculations that it will come out soon. The certification body has listed the hardware of the flagship, so the specs and features for the Lenovo ZUK Edge are already known.

According to the listing, the new flagship will come out with a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution. Under the hood, the upcoming release is a true flagship, coming out with the new step-up Snapdragon 821 chipset, paired with 6 GB of RAM and at least 64 GB of onboard storage. There are also rumors that a top-tier variant featuring 128 GB of internal storage will also be launched. While unconfirmed, this is highly likely since most recent flagship releases also have 128- and 256-GB options.

As a late 2016 release, it is also said that the new iteration will run on Android Nougat 7.0 right out of the box. Other specs and features include a 13-MP main camera, 8-MP setup in front for selfies, and a 3,000-mAh battery.

Meanwhile, there are also supposed real-life images that highlight the Lenovo ZUK Edge is already out online. Should the images turn out to be true, the upcoming flagship will have a similar design with the current-gen ZUK Z2 Pro, particularly with the flat-screen design. Previous rumors have said that the ZUK Edge is likely to come out with a curved display.
