LG G4 release date: DUAL SIM feature leaked online
LG is expected to reveal its next flaghship device in the LG G4 soon though many potential buyers may already know what the phone will carry due to multiple leaks which have been coming out. And most of them have come out from LG's microsite, a ploy perhaps to spur up some noise as the next LG flagship nears its release.
For those who are still unaware, the LG G4 will come with features anchored on a 3K 5.5-inch (1620x2880) Quantum LCD display resolution backed by a Hexa-core 1.8 GHz Cortez A-57 Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
It will also have an Andreno 418 GPU, 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32MB which can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card slot. As far as the phone camera, it will boast of a 16MP rear camera while an 8MP shooter will be available up front.
The LG G4 will come with a Li-on 3000 mAh battery and have Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. Take note of a previous post concerning the 3K display which may have a bearing on how the battery consumption could differ, an issue which could hold buyers back owing to the standby time the phone may carry.
While all those specs are somehow a repeat of what you will most likely find online concerning the LG G4, a new leak shows that the phone could come with dual-SIM capability. This is not expected to be uniformly available in all regions though.
The leak comes from Iran which shows the LG G4 with a SIM switch button (located at the lower right hand corner of the display). This could mean that for some regions where the LG G4 would be coming out, they will have the luxury of using multiple SIMS.
There is no word on which regions the special dual-SIM LG G4 would come out but all that could be known by next week.
The LG G4 is set to be unveiled on April 28 where actual pricing and availability is expected to be made official.
