For most people, their smartphones have become their best friend and everyday companion. LG understands this, which is why they came up with a new product line of smartphones, with each model having its own unique "personality" that users can relate to.

The LG AKA (pronounced as "AW-kuh") units are designed with different colors and "characters" to choose from.

One of them is "Eggy," the yellow-colored smartphone who has the tendency to fall in love easily. Then there is "Soul", the blue one, which is a music and beer lover, while "Wooky," the white version of the phone, always tries to remain cute by speaking in slang. Finally, the bright pink AKA version is called "YoYo," the only female in the group, who loves burgers and sodas that is why her weight tends to "yo-yo."

Although the specs of this handheld may not be as astounding as the other newly released devices in the market, it is bound to attract the hip and young market.

The LG AKA reportedly comes in a 5-inch 720p display with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, as well as 1.5 GB of RAM with 16 GB internal memory, along with a microSD slot for expansion up to 128 GB.  It also features an 8-megapixel primary rear camera with laser focus function and a 2-megapixel secondary front-facing camera, which is perfect for selfies. The smartphone is also equipped with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

The front cover of the LG AKA is somewhat similar to the S-View Flip Covers offered by Samsung. But instead of seeing important notifications in the cover's small top window, LG AKA shows the blinking eyes of the phone's character.

The LG AKA is only available in South Korea with the price tag of 500,000 South Korean won (around US$456) as of the moment, and the company is still mum if they are planning to bring these unique smartphones to other parts of the world.
